Training
The priority of the CNRS training policy is to anticipate the evolution of professions and to contribute to the development of collective and individual skills in the various fields of science and technology.
Training at the CNRS aims to ensure the acquisition, maintenance and development of collective and individual skills of staff members, and to support them throughout and in particular at key moments in their careers. It thus allows each employee to pursue a career path that reconciles the organization's scientific priorities with his or her personal aspirations for advancement. For more than twenty years, the CNRS has been developing a multi-year training plan. The 7th CNRS training orientation plan covers the period 2020-2023. It is based on three objectives: to contribute to scientific excellence, to support the professional development of staff and to develop digital technology.
Work environment
To take into account the changes in society, the CNRS has deployed, since 2019, telework within its organization. This possibility is open to all permanent and contractual employees whose activities (or part of their activities) can be carried out remotely.
The agents can thus benefit from up to 3 days of telework per week for a full time, fixed or floating, allowing them to meet private and/or professional constraints. Please note that a fixed allowance is paid twice a year to the agents concerned (contribution to energy expenses).
To facilitate implementation, a dedicated platform has been set up. In addition, an operational guide will be published in 2021 for all employees. In addition, training courses to support remote management are regularly offered.
Note that the CNRS published, back in 2016, a guide on the articulation of life times to ensure better reconciliation between the professional and personal lives of its agents.
Social Policy
The CNRS social policy aims to improve the living conditions of its employees and their families.
This translates into the possibility of benefiting from nursery places, reserved housing (depending on the availability of rental stock and the agent's resources), support for housing (renovation loans), moving (installation costs) and geographical mobility (costs linked to geographical mobility / property loan).
In addition, all CNRS employees (and their dependents) can benefit from the services offered by the Comité d'Action et d'Entraide Sociales (CAES), which cover the areas of culture, children, assistance and benefits, and vacations.
