As part of its integration policy for people with disabilities, the CNRS opens dedicated recruitment opportunities every year.
Each year, the CNRS opens up recruitment opportunities on a contractual basis, in application of article L352-4 of the French civil service code. The general conditions of access prior to recruitment are set out in Decree no. 95-979 of August 25, 1995, as amended, on the recruitment of disabled workers in the civil service.
The contract recruitment procedure is designed to facilitate the recruitment of disabled staff as CNRS researchers, engineers and technicians. It enables them to be recruited on a one-year contract leading to tenure. It is a complementary and exceptional route to the civil service, but does not replace the competitive entrance examination.
In line with the standard research competitions, the assessment of candidates for contractual recruitment, based on their skills, is the responsibility of the relevant sections of the National Committee.
Each year, the CNRS also renews its offer of doctoral contracts for students with disabilities who wish to acquire additional training through research after completing a postgraduate course. This training must lead to a thesis.
These contracts are specially financed as part of the national integration policy for disabled people.
The scheme is open to all research disciplines.
