Portrait of Isabelle Favier, CNRS Crystal Medal 2022, PhD in chemistry, research engineer at the Fundamental and Applied Heterochemistry Laboratory, specialist in catalysis.

Isabelle Favier has a wide range of skills in organometallic chemistry and nanomaterials, in particular in the field of nanocatalysis and reactions under pressure. In her laboratory, which specializes in highly reactive species, she is, or has been, responsible for the maintenance of glove boxes, solvent purification systems and the high-pressure reaction tray, and has contributed to the design of autoclaves with different companies. Isabelle Favier is also involved in regional, national and international research projects, to which she brings major innovations, especially on experimental devices. She co-supervised a thesis and published 17 articles between 2017 and 2021. These multiple activities do not prevent her from carrying out training and research popularization actions (Science Festival, articles for the general public, etc.) and from being, moreover, the equality and sustainable development correspondent of her laboratory, in addition to her role as an occupational first aid officer.
