Crystal Medal 2022 : Anne-Laure Iscache

March 01, 2023 - 10 min reading

Portrait of Anne-Laure Iscache, CNRS Crystal Medal 2022, research engineer in biological experimentation and instrumentation at the Toulouse Institute of Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (Infinity).

Specialized in biological experimentation and instrumentation, Anne-Laure Iscache is an engineer at Infinity's cytometry platform in Toulouse, which she has strongly contributed to structure, both at the regional and national levels. This quantitative technique allows to analyze the individual characteristics of each cell, from a cell suspension. She has set up a shared approach to map the human and murine immune system using complex multicolor panels of 30 "turnkey" parameters. This work will accelerate research projects to identify biomarkers in the field of aging and infectious and inflammatory diseases. Anne-Laure Iscache presented this technique at the Cytometry Congress in October 2021, then internationally at the Flowtex Congresses in Houston in March 2022 and in Philadelphia in June 2022. Author of about ten scientific articles, she has strongly contributed to reinforce the visibility of her laboratory.
